#HASHTAG #SEI | Giorgio Laveri

After the world premiere presentation at the Usina del Arte cultural space in Buenos Aires, the French leg in Vence and events organized in Borgio Verezzi, Albissola Marina and Reggio Emilia, Giorgio Laveri’s giant photographic cameras, created entirely from ceramic, arrive in Varese.

On SUNDAY, APRIL 25 from 11am to 6pm PUNTO SULL’ARTE Art Gallery will present #HASHTAG, itinerant project by artist GIORGIO LAVERI, curated by David Melis.

For the occasion, PUNTO SULL’ARTE Art Gallery – Viale Sant’Antonio 59/61, Varese – will be transformed into a photographic set, in which visitors are photographed by the artist with a vintage Polaroid. The shots will then be included in a catalogue containing the various exhibition moments. A unique occasion to meet the artist, examine his research in depth and actively take part in an unexhibited project in total safety and in compliance with current regulations.

Through ceramics, his preferred expressive medium, and passing through cinema, theatre and interdisciplinary experimentation, from 1972 until today Giorgio Laveri has presented more than one hundred events in Italy and around the world. Furthermore, the constant collaboration with some of the most important art galleries both in Italy and abroad has allowed widespread dissemination of his work. His knowledge of ceramic sculpture derives, in particular, from his longtime affiliation with the artistic colony of Albisola, known and appreciated internationally. It will be possible to visit Giorgio Laveri’s exhibition and have access to the photographic set on Sunday, April 25 from 11am to 6pm.

The event is organized in compliance with the health regulations issued by Italian Government and the access to the Gallery will be limited. It is recommended to book a time slot from 11 am to 6 pm for visiting the exhibition and avoiding waiting times.
