Simone Benedetto
Turin (IT) 1985
The search for one's self, childhood, and play are central themes in the artistic production of the Turin sculptor Simone Benedetto. His works, the result of carefully calibrated gestures, feature easily recognizable forms that evoke deep emotions. The figure of the child transforming into an animal symbolizes the psychological transformation that occurs in each of us during the development of personality. Through the precision of each gesture, the artist is able to give shape to that feeling of change that we all experience in childhood.
Benedetto's sculptures are not merely works of art but true prompts for reflection on complex and delicate themes, approached with an original and innovative perspective. Thanks to his versatility, he has experimented with various materials, such as concrete, resins, silicones, and bronze, earning a place among the most versatile sculptors of contemporary art. His plastic skill, combined with extremely realistic results, allows him to tackle intense and current social issues.
Simone Benedetto was born in Turin in 1985 and graduated with honors from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Plastic Arts. His works have been exhibited in prestigious venues such as Domus Lascaris and Palazzo Saluzzo in Turin, participating in numerous solo and group exhibitions. He has also taken part in important industry fairs both in Italy and abroad. Currently, he lives and works in Turin, continuing to explore and innovate in the world of contemporary sculpture.
